Burlington Harbor Launch and Tow
Our Boats
Little "Belle" is an 1976 Angler 18' with a 90 hp Yamaha Outboard and tow bar. We found "Belle" in the back of an old abandoned power plant. It took a winter of grinding, painting, wiring, and working out the engine before we got her in the water. HL&T uses "Belle" for small vessel tows, refuels, jumpstarts, and of course harbor cruising. Big "MAE" is a 1999 C-Hawk 22' with a 175 hp Yamaha Outboard and a robust towing bar. Last fall HL&T decided to add another purpose towing boat to the operation. We were lucky to find this one out in St. Johnsbury for a reasonable price. It took a winter of grinding, wiring, and set up work to get the boat going, but we are happy to have this one as part of the 2021 fleet. The boat is set up with a lifting bag system for hard grounding and submerged salvages, diving support equipment, and a bow lifting crane for light duty Marine work. We will be using "MAE" for long distance and rapid response towing all over Lake Champlain this season. "Rachel Z" is a 2005 Penga 26' with a 125 hp Cummins/Merc inboard/outboard motor. HL&T has had the pleasure to have this boat as a part of the operations since the start of our operations in 2019. We have worked in partnership with the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center to have this boat as part of our operations and we couldn't be happier with it. We use the "Rachel Z" for long distance and large vessel towing. |
