"Belle", our little tower, is an 1976 Angler 18' with a 90 hp Yamaha Outboard and tow bar. We found "Belle" in the back of an old abandoned power plant. It took a winter of grinding, painting, wiring, and working out the engine before we got her in the water. She was our first tow boat. HL&T uses "Belle" for small vessel tows, refuels, jumpstarts, and of course harbor cruising.
Big "MAE" is a 1999 C-Hawk 22' with a 175 hp Yamaha Outboard and a robust towing bar. Pound for Pound, this girls got it where it counts and always delivers in any condition. The boat is set up for hard grounding and submerged salvages, diving support, towing, and is equipped with a bow lifting crane for light duty Marine work. We use big "MAE" for long distance and rapid response towing all over Lake Champlain.
"Rachel Z" is a 2006 Penga 26' with a 125 hp Cummins/Mercruiser inboard/outboard motor. This is the girl we use when we want to haul larger boats long distances for a long time. We set that throttle and just let her chug. That diesel engine and large prop makes her perfect for big jobs headed anywhere on Lake Champlain.
"DARLA" is our steel work boat. We use her for Marine Salvage, Mooring and Dock Installation, Push Boat services, Commercial Diving Operations, and pretty much anywhere we think she will be a good fit. She is outfitted with two 2000 lbs. davit cranes Port and Starboard and a 9000 lbs. bow crane, as well as air compressors and over 20,000 lbs. of lift bags and salvage gear for emergency and scheduled marine operations.
